Hi! I’m Kristin- a Christ-follower, wife, mom of four, school counselor, and writer. I have been working in the world of education for more than twenty years. I also serve on the worship team and kids’ ministry team at my church. At the end of 2024, I began to feel the Lord calling me to live an “open-handed” life. Open to possibilities that are beyond what I can see or obtain in the moment. Open to resting in his will and trusting him for my next steps. Open to opportunities to minister. Open to helping others live this life, too. That’s how “Open Hands” was born…out of a desire to walk in obedience to Him by using my love of writing to glorify Him and to help and connect with others. With Proverbs 31:26 in mind, I pray that this blog is a source of wisdom and kind teaching (mixed with some humor and human connection).

I enjoy drinking coffee, reading, singing, watching my comfort shows, and spending time with my family. The ocean and my hometown are my happy places. My bucket list includes growing old in a cozy cottage and taking my dream trip to England with my husband.
